Going Up?

I certainly hope the weight is going the right way after yesterday. Breakfast was SBD cereal with fresh strawberries and 1% milk. Snack was homemade beef jerky. Lunch at Buckner's with Pawpaw was Salisbury steak, creamed corn, turnip greens, tomato soup, tossed salad, and sugar free chocolate tart. I only ate part of the graham cracker crust of the tart and about half the corn, so maybe that wasn't too bad.

Had a late afternoon snack of a banana.

Last night, however, we went to the Hallsville Jr. High one-act-play dinner theater. Salad was good, but what does one serve a whole bunch of people and costs very little? Spaghetti. That's right, the same stuff marathon runners eat for "carb loading" before a race. And I enjoyed every bite. At least they had some green beans on the plate. I did skip the chocolate cake and the bread. Kind of like the diet Coke and candy bar snack.

No blogging for a couple of days. Off to Spade, TX. The real home of the Longhorns.

BTW, breakfast today was delicious. Two poached eggs on one piece of toasted whole wheat bread topped with 2% cheese melted with a couple of tablespoons of fat-free half-and-half. (What's up with that? How do they make it fat-free?) Two strips of turkey bacon and decaf coffee with fat-free half-and-half and Splenda. Very tasty.
